in most healthy societies people are allowed to do naughty things without feelings of guilt.. .

what naughty things can jws do?.

my naughtiest moment was rounding up 55mins to an hr in my ministry!

There were some families I knew that would only watch G movies and some PG movies.

Medical marijuana and the congregation

i do not know if anyone has ever asked this question before.. if you live in a state where it is legal to smoke marijuana with a prescription, will the congregation take any action against a member of it that smokes it?

i imagine that they wouldn't disfellowship anyone, but it may not make the person eligible for priveleges.. has there been any letter from hq to the boes about it?.

an interesting article in an australian newspaper about aj miller, an ex jw who now believes he is the reincarnation of jesus.

he keeps predicting the end of the world and has gathered some zealous followers around the world.

he lives on a large property bought for him by his disciples.

Between the ages of 4 and 7 I would get the belt or wooden spoon after the meeting for being a typical 4-7 year old more times than I care to remember. It was for talking too much or being squirmie or wanting to fall asleep. I am breaking the cycle with my kids.

After hearing ESPN's Chris Broussard rant against gays, I'm wondering if he's Jehovah's Witness

My business partner and I had a conversation about this today. He is a religious nutjob who thinks I will be going to hell because of lack of faith in god and Jesus. He also thinks that god will punish USA because of things like this, the acceptance of homosexuality by more and more Americans.

It's not just JWs that are out of their minds.

He also thinks that ALL who don't accept Jesus Christ - including all Muslems - will go to hell. I asked him "What if they don't learn about Jesus in their life time being secluded and surrounded by only other Muslims and their strict teachings?" He said "Oh, they know about Jesus. They have a chance to make the right decision."

I avoid religion as much as I can around him.
